Interdenominational Vision
At IBP we cultivate an environment of respect for difference, which characterizes the current state of the Portuguese evangelical community. We are not proponents of ecumenism and, despite the current complexities, we believe that evangelical witness can only benefit from better understanding and relationships between the various ecclesiastical groups, in the spirit of Christ's priestly prayer that "they may be one".
All those who pass through this institution will be better equipped to promote a spirit of unity and work among the various denominations, without prejudice to personal and denominational convictions, which we consider extremely important.
Our purpose
It can never be stressed enough that we are deeply committed to God and His Word, which is the source of our motivation and evangelistic action. Because we are in Portugal, we want to serve the country in light of the challenges we find in God and His Word, without compromising them.
We believe that we live in a golden age of peace and freedom in the country's history and that there is an urgent need to share the moral, spiritual, and social values emanating from the Scriptures, to serve as an impetus for the good of many nations.
We want to prepare the students of this institution to be worthy citizens of the Kingdom of God and of this earth, being the "salt" and "light" of the world. We also want that, through the IBP, the emblematic prayer of Jesus "“Pray to the Lord to send out laborers into the harvest.”"May it materialize over the years, to the honor and glory of God.".
